Reece's Four Month Highlights

Daddy and Mommy say I am growing up way too fast! I can't help it... I am learning new things every day! Some of my favorites are: I like to reach out and grab anything and everything that gets close to me (including hair, earrings, hot coffee... yikes!). My grip is strong, so watch out! I can now get items to my mouth and enjoy chewing on anything that actually makes it in. I continue to drool rivers, but no sign of a tooth yet. I am working on grabbing my feet, and can catch them when I'm lucky! I am starting to giggle, especially when my ribs, neck, or feet are tickled. I show excitement by sucking all my air in, kicking my feet and swinging my arms. I now LOVE to splash and kick my feet in the bath. I frown at Mommy when she drains the water and there is nothing left to play with. My favorite position is now standing. Once my feet touch anything, I straighten my legs and back to push up into a standing position... if you're holding me, be prepared! I can also sit up with support, and especially love sitting in the Bumbo we borrowed from Tia. Oh, and I'm sleeping through the night now (most nights) ...phew!

Easter Sunday

I am four months old!

Reece's Three Month Highlights

I am now full of smiles and love to coo and babble. I am slowly getting into a routine of napping three to four times a day and consistently sleeping three to four hour stretches at night. I love reading books with Mommy, especially That's Not My Puppy! and Barnyard Dance! I can almost roll over from my tummy to my back and can lift my head when I am sitting up. I am drooling like crazy... Mommy says I am "truly drooly"! I love hanging out and babbling with Daddy and I am starting to giggle, especially when Daddy and Mommy tickle my ribs!

I have fine-motor skills! I can bring my hands together to grab toys hanging in front of me. I'm now working on how to get them to my mouth!

I wanted to fall asleep at Dr. Kettlehake's office. Little did I know Mommy and Daddy were keeping me awake so I was ready for my first shots. It hurt (me and Mommy), but only for a few seconds.

I went to my friend, Matt's, birthday party at Tam's Thai. It was so crowded I had to sit on the counter next to Buddha. As you can see, I wasn't too thrilled.

Mommy and Kayla have such a good time hanging out together. Kayla can walk now, so let our trips to the park, beach, and frozen yogurt begin!

Grandpa and Grandma visited me. We had such a great time together! I loved sleeping in Grandma's arms, and Grandpa's good humor and funny faces kept me smiling all weekend long!

As you can see, I was in a very serious mood for my three month pictures!

My good friend Grace's Daddy, Mr. Hentschel, leaves for Afghanistan this week.  We are so proud of him and can't wait to hear all about his great adventures. Go get 'em, Evan!

Naptime

I took my first official nap this morning in my crib.  Mommy didn't know if I would sleep or not, but I impressed her and slept for an entire hour!  She and Daddy watched me (more than they should have!) on our video monitor.
