Reece's Twelve Month Highlights

My twelfth month was busy!  We found a new place to live (so that I can stay home full-time with Mommy), we planned my first birthday party, and then all of our family came to celebrate with us!  A few of my highlights are:
-I am babbling a lot.  Most of what I say is not understandable, but a few words that are are: baby, bye, hi, clock, and go.
-I can communicate water (to drink or when I see a fountain or waterfall), milk, eat, and all done efficiently with sign language.
-I clap when I am happy or when I like something.
-I like to feed myself, but will still eat avocado, applesauce, yogurt, and veggie puree from a spoon (especially if you put a grape on the end of it!).
-If I want to play with you, I will initiate and bring you a book, truck, ball, or toy (look out because I throw it at you!).
-I laugh out loud when something funny happens in life, a story, or video.
-When reading, I know my favorite pages and will flip through quickly until I find them.  I am getting better at turning individual pages (of board books).
-I am learning the power of choice and the effect I can have on others through my actions.  When I am upset, I will lay on my tummy, arch my back, and cry.
-I continue to LOVE transportation and the outdoors.
-I am a happy boy!

The beach in January?  Oh yeah!  This is one of the many reasons we live in Coronado!  Our weather warmed up after a chilly December.  It was over 80 degrees on this day... but the water was COLD.  As you can see, I didn't mind one bit!

We received a San Diego Zoo membership for Christmas from Grandpa and Grandma.  I am looking forward to many more family trips there!  As you can see, the flamingo exhibit was not my favorite (due to the Crested Screamer)... believe it or not, my highlight was the waterfall!
We had a photo shoot at the park for my birthday invitations... compliments of Kayla!  Grace did a great job of entertaining me and helping me smile :)
I helped Daddy pack for his trip to Kansas.  Mommy and I sure did miss him while he was away.
Daddy got a new job and we are all so happy!  I helped him sign his official contract as part of our celebration.
For those of you who don't know, I am going to be a big brother in August!  I don't quite know what that means, but Daddy and Mommy sure are excited about it!
It's been fun sharing with you... Mommy will continue to post and keep you up to date from now on!

Reece's First Birthday Party!

We had such a great time celebrating Reece's first birthday with friends and family!

The party...
We celebrated Papa's birthday, too!
The zoo with Grandpa and Grandma!
Of course Reece's favorite exhibit at the zoo was the bulldozer!
We opened more presents on Reece's actual birthday... the fun went on forever!
