Half a year has gone by way too fast. If the next half goes by just as fast, I better start planning Elle's first birthday party now!
Here are Elle's statistics from her Six-Month Well Baby appointment with Dr. Petrovich:
Weight: 16 pounds - 52%
Length: 2 feet, 2.5 inches - 78%
Head Circumference: 41cm - 13%
-Elle is sitting on her own now!
-She favors rolling over to her left. She still hasn't rolled from her tummy to her back again.
-She is eating one meal a day. Rice cereal, avocado and banana have been her first foods.
-Night wakings are still a common occurrence. Elle usually wakes twice a night.
-She is now fully weaned and is drinking formula. Weaning her was sad for me, but easy. Elle had been fussy when nursing, so the transition has been positive for both of us.
-Elle has real giggles now, especially for Reece! He makes her laugh in a way no one else can... and it's usually when I think he's being too rough or hurting her... but she's having the best time. She's going to be tough!
-She loves to put her feet in her mouth and chew on her toes.
-Elle has great eyebrows! They help her make great expressions, especially when she is happy. She will smile a big smile at you, and then raise them up for added emphasis :)
-Her nicknames are set. They are ElleBelle and Ellers.
-She still loves to stand, and is now bending her knees and rocking her hips around. She looks like she is hula-hooping!
-She is reaching for and lunging at everything. She is pretty hard to hold on to when she wants something! She can also move objects from hand to hand.
-Elle loves to play Peek-a-Boo!
She is such a sweet girl and adds so much joy to our home!
