February 2014

A visit from Grandpa and Grandma kicked off the month!

The Reuben H. Fleet Science Museum
Miss Independent wandered around all on her own (or so she thought)!  Kid City and drone show were definitely the highlights of our trip.
Elle loves her new jewelry from Shelby!
Oh, Reece!
Lego-Mania continues...

Fun with friends!
Elle likes to keep herself occupied while in Time-Out.
We got fancy for our bible study's annual Valentine's Day dinner.

We made the big decision to move to Cardiff by the Sea, so we toured North Coast Calvary Chapel's preschool, Coast Kids.  We love the school and are so happy there was a spot available for Reece to begin right after our move in March.

Elle at 2 1/2

Oh, Elle!  You are talking to us more and more, and we are realizing just how independent you are...

Your sentences and verb tenses aren't always in order, but to us, they are perfect!  I hope you never learn to speak in correct sentence order! (I only say that because someday you will, and I'll be sad.)

Some examples:
Where my daddy is?
Mommy, watch you! (watch ME)
I need you cuz I sad.
I fustrated!
Reecie, he beed sad.
I love you, too, Mom (you say this first, before I say it to you)
That's lucky! (yucky)
Who's that? (for What's that?)
Singing Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, you sing, "Like a dino in the sky".  Reece thinks this is hilarious!

You love chores!  You help set the table, sort laundry, and wash dishes, and especially your own body. You often say, "I don't like you to help."

You love to tell the story of Daniel in the lion's den, except your version includes God saving Daniel Tiger.

You LOVE the color purple.  In fact, at 2am one morning you began throwing up.  I told you I would be right back for a trash can and you said, "Get me a purple one, Mom."
