Elle, you are so much fun! You're becoming even more independent and assertive, and you're pretty darn cute. People love talking with you, and you love the company!
-A few things you've said lately:
"I busy." (when told that you needed say sorry to Reece).
"I busy." (when told that you needed say sorry to Reece).
Da monsta! (Dad)
It's real high in the sky (stars)
All mine!
Stinky boy
Helpa me!
Wash hands, me.
Why-a, No-a, Yes-a
I have pink and purple eyes, not hazel (said very seriously)
My personal favorite: Mom, I love you, too! You're pretty!
Because why? (over and over again) I usually end with, "Because God made them that way."
Whose that? = What is that?
Whose that? = What is that?
I wanna stamp like Pwasilla (tattoo)
I'm going to take my clothes off so I can be a nudie cutie and shake my booty.
I have a tummy ache so I need to eat candy and watch f*@#ball (yes, you said the real word)

-You love to sing a song with someone even if you don't know the words. You usually know the song well enough to say the last word of each phrase with the other singer.
-During Grace at dinnertime, you pray when daddy prays.
-A couple of your prayers: "Jesus, Love, Bible, Amen! Mommy, Reecie, Dada, Food, Amen! Mommy and Daddy and Me and Reecie and both of us! (all of us) Amen!
-You are in a constant babble with anyone who will listen, including your dolls and stuffed animals. You talk to and hug everyone. We wonder what you'll tell your preschool teachers! You talked to Mr. Eric the entire time he installed a window at our house.
-You ask for us to "Tell me a story about..." You then tell us the story that we're supposed to tell you, with lots and lots of detail.
-You love books and stop us from reading while you look at the pictures on every page and ask questions. For example: How did that bird get in the house (bird on a windowsill)? Why is that girl sad? Where is their mom? etc.
-You say "Sorry" with a growl in you throat.
-While awake at 3am one night, "Mom, I want holes in my ears." You want your ears pierced so bad!
-Without asking, you sat in the bathroom and painted your own nails... and the bathroom floor and rug (accidentally).
-While "reading" books alone, you sing songs in place of the story while pointing to the words.
-You love to retell the story of the Three Little Pigs over and over again. We love to listen!

-You're very concerned that Daniel Tiger doesn't have pants on. You ask, "Where are his pants?" over and over while you're watching the show.
-You've been waking two times a night lately. I'm exhausted. I actually googled "toddler won't sleep", tried a night light, incentive charts, stuffed animals, etc. I know it has to do with our recent move up to Cardiff, and so I am being very patient with you as you transition to sleeping in your new bedroom.
-You continue to move around a lot in your sleep, and like to sleep at the edge of bed. I took your top sheet off, because every morning its twisted up into a ball at the bottom corner of your bed.
-After the Fourth of July, you snuck a bunch of candy under your comforter. When I checked in on you napping, I lifted the comforter and found only wrappers. I can only imagine how happy you were in there before you fell asleep! Your consequence was no more treats and a break from watching shows.
-You don't fear consequences until they are staring you in the face, and then you are dramatically sad with a huge pout, squinted eyes, slumped shoulders, and huge tears.

-You still give the best kisses!
You don't want to nap anymore, but you need one! So, I let you play in your room for "Quiet Time" and, most days, you fall asleep on your own.
On your first day of preschool at Meet the Teacher-"Mom, you have to go away from me. You have to say bye and I might not cry." After about 5 minutes, "You can't stay!" (upset)
After school, you told me that "We did the God song we jumped and jiggled! I giggled with a girl on the playground.

On the day before your birthday-
Mom: "You'll be three tomorrow!" Elle: I might not...
I'm (made three with her fingers) Can I drive now?
You sang, Happy birthday to YOU, with finger pointing to yourself in the mirror.

We celebrated your birthday with your cousins at our house with a Dora bounce house!
We went to the Zoo on your actual birthday with Reece, Priscilla, Greyson, Wyatt, and Sara. We visited the koalas, reptile house, playground, goats, insect house, and took the Skyfari to polar bear and back. You didn't want to leave!
