Reece's Eleven Month Highlights

Only one more month until I am officially one year old!
Here are this month's highlights:
-I continue to LOVE being outside.  The wind, birds, airplanes, helicopters, trucks, and water fountains all excite me!  I also love the park and enjoy climbing around on the equipment and sliding down the small slides.  I also love to climb the stairs of the gazebo and crawl around on the stage.  I have begun to object when Mommy says it is time to leave.
-I now take a daily bath due to the fact that I love to feed myself.
-I eat mostly finger foods, and a small amount of pureed veggies, avocado, yogurt, and applesauce.  If I don't like something, I will offer it to Mommy, throw it on the floor, or tuck it in my highchair.
-Fruit is my favorite, and if you serve me fruit first, I probably won't eat anything else.
-I love to throw balls back and forth with a partner.  My aim is improving greatly!
-I am interested in relocating items.  For example, I like to stand up and put my toys on the table or the couch.
-My creeping ability is improving.  I can reach over to ottoman from couch or from the tub to toilet.

-Speaking of the toilet, I have learned how to flush it and do so whenever I am in the bathroom.
-I say Dada and Mama regularly, especially when I am sad or hurt.
-I sign
more and water when I am eating.  I even signed water when I saw the water fountain in town.
-I love to talk into my cup to change the sound of my voice.
-My two top and bottom teeth are in, and so I have been grinding them and using them to chew on the sides of my crib.
-I love to raise my arms when someone shouts, "Touchdown!"
-Daddy says I have alligator arms when I am being shy or am experiencing something new.  I will tuck my arms in and only use my hands to reach out to touch.
-I am ACTIVE after I have had dinner and a bath.  I get a little hyper and am a lot of fun to play with!
-I can now open cabinets, drawers, and slide the closets open.  This has opened up a whole new world of exploration to me!

-At home, I am confident and interact with Daddy and Mommy readily.  Outside of home I am very cautious and observant.  It takes me a while to warm up to others and new situations.
Watching the surfers ride the waves in PB.  Daddy taught me all about sets and can't wait to get out there with me!
Mmmm... fruit and cheese are definitely my favorites!
Socks?  Who needs them?
This is my first real bonk.
Where did the E go?
Toilet paper makes a great toy!
I love to play on the washer and dryer while Mommy is doing laundry.  She thought I might like playing inside, but I did not!
Mommy and I visited Susan recently.  I LOVED playing with her dog, Sophie.  I chased her around the house and let her give me lots of kisses.  The day was full of squeals and giggles!
Along with the title of "Baby Whisperer", Evan is also a great entertainer!  Grace and I have become best buds and enjoy sharing each other's food.
Bath time with Grace!
I had a lot of fun helping Daddy replace the door knob.
This is the first official picture of my two top teeth!
Only one more month to go!

Teeth!

Kayla got a new camera recently and has been taking practice photos of Grace and me.  She achieved what Mommy says has been impossible and caught my bottom teeth on camera!  Now we just need a few shots of my top teeth (coming soon...)!
Here are some other great shots.  Thank you, Kayla!

Santa, Baby!

Santa Claus was at the Exchange today, so Mommy and I headed over to meet him with Evan, Kayla, and Grace (Daddy had to work).  Santa wasn't there when we arrived, so we were able to sit in his big chair while we waited!
When he finally arrived, Grace decided to go first.  She wasn't sure what to make of Santa.  She checked him out and then calmly looked to Evan and Kayla for an explanation.
When it was my turn Santa shook his jingle bells for me.  I loved the sound...
... and I loved my time with him until I turned and got a good look at his beard!
Once I know who Santa is, I am sure I will look forward to my time in his lap.
For now, GET ME OUT OF HERE!

We are Thankful!

This Thanksgiving we travelled to Visalia.  It was so nice to spend quality time with my Papa, Nana, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends!  We spent Thanksgiving at Papa and Nana's.  I ate my first Thanksgiving meal which consisted of turkey, green beans, and a dinner roll... yum!
I got up early with Nana to prep the turkey, and hung out with Papa while he carved it.
Thank you, Nana and Papa for the delicious turkey!
I got to sit in Mommy's old high-chair!
We had our very own "kids-only" table.  Kwyn and Jaelyn ate with us, too.
Papa and Nana used to have a big, beautiful tree out front, but they had to take it out.  Nana doesn't mind it being gone because she doesn't have to rake the leaves anymore.  On our "after Thanksgiving meal walk" TTara thought it would be fun to pick up a neighbor's leaves and put them on Nana's lawn.  She laughed about it and was a great sport!
The big kids took turns and jumped in the leaves while Kwyn and I cheered them on.

Hooray!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Dedication Ceremony

Aaron and I dedicated Reece on Sunday, November 7. We were blessed to have close friends and family there to support us and witness our commitment.

We commit to train and teach Reece Biblical principles, to trust in God, be obedient to His Word, and the following covenant:
• We will make Jesus Christ the Foundation of our home (1 Corinthians 3:11)
• We will keep the Passion for God before us always (Deuteronomy 5:29)
• We will fight for the Authority of God before our Family (Nehemiah 4:14)
• We will place trust in God’s Grace for life (Galatians 2:20)
• We will love our family unconditionally as God loves us (Ephesians 5:2
5)
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5&6
