Reece's Six Month Highlights

A lot has happened in a month!  I am becoming more and more aware of my environment and the things around me.  I have also become more social and enjoy giggling and talking.  Peek-a-Boo is my favorite game, and I love to be outside on a walk, swinging, or swimming every chance I get!  I love watching the trees sway in the wind and the birds fly through the air.  I am eating real food once a day and have enjoyed rice cereal, oatmeal, and avocado.  Here are a few more highlights from this month:
-I want to reach out and touch EVERYTHING... and I'm trying!  Daddy and Mommy have to be very careful about what is within my reach now.  They are learning the "art of distraction" (and also how to clean up spilled coffee)!
-Speaking of my hands, I can now transfer items (even small ones) from one hand to the other.
-I love creating sounds when I shake toys, especially anything that rattles or makes a bang when it hits the ground.  Look out!  I can get a bit crazy when I'm shake-shake-shaking!
-I recognize Daddy and Mommy now, even in a crowd.  I get shy when strangers talk to me and bury my head into Daddy and Mommy's chest.  I am always smiling when I do this... Mommy says I'm becoming quite the flirt.
-I recognize my name and get a big smile when someone calls it out loud to get my attention.
-I am working on crawling, although I am not quite there yet.  I am able to get both of my knees tucked up under me and some pressure on my arms.  I even lift myself up on my toes!  It won't be long! (I even sleep up on my knees sometimes.)
-I can sit up now, but lose my balance backwards.  Fortunately, I am strong enough to make a graceful landing most of the time!
-I am beginning to realize the power of my cry, and use it to get attention.
-I still love to blow raspberries, but not as much as last month.  I now prefer my high-pitched squeal :)
I get to sit with everyone at the dinner table now!
Enjoying "nudy booty" time!
This is my new toy.  I love hanging out with Mommy in the kitchen now.
Rolling over on the changing table is one of my new favorite things to do.  As you can see, I am very proud! (Daddy and Mommy aren't so sure they like this.)
I tried really hard to camouflage myself in my hunting outfit from Paityn.  My big, blue eyes make it a little difficult!

Sixth months came and went so fast.  I can't wait to see what I learn next month!
