- I really enjoy drinking water from either my sippy cup, a real grown-up cup, or Mommy's Nalgene bottle.
- I have tried many new foods! They are: sweet potatoes, bananas, applesauce, pears, green beans, and peaches. I love them all except for the sweet potatoes. Mom says we will have to try them again soon.
- Mommy bought me a mesh food holder. She made me homemade biscuits to eat from it, and I also love to suck on ice from it. The best part is it doubles as a noise maker when I bang it on the table. Look out!
- I can sit all by myself now.
- I am so interested in the world around me. If I see something I want, you better hold on tight because I don't quite understand the concept of gravity yet!
- I had my first fever this month. It happened in the middle of the night, and after taking medicine I was able to sleep and recover quickly. The end result was my first runny nose which lasted about a week. Daddy and Mommy aren't sure why I got it... but I was caught sucking on the swing and shopping cart the day before :)
- Dakota and Sawyer let me borrow their Baby Einstein DVD's. I LOVE watching them and get so captivated that I literally jump out of my seat when something pops onto the screen.
- On my tummy, I really want to move forward, but cannot get up on all fours or army crawl yet. Instead I use a complicated assortment of spins and rolls to get to what I want!
- I am consistently making a mmm-ba sound. I wonder what my first word will be?
- No teeth yet!
- Mommy's favorite highlights from this month: I can turn the pages of a board book when we read together, and I reach out for her whenever I am in someone else's arms. She says this melts her!
I love to shake my wrist and ankle rattles and can now sit all by myself in a shopping cart.
I love spending time with my good friend, Grace!
I am ready to go swimming!
Here I am waiting for Dr. Kettlehake at my six month appointment, and here is a picture of me sporting my new mohawk that I wake up from my nap with each day.
Eight months, here I come!
