We traveled to Kansas this May to spend time with our Kansas family. Aaron stayed Thursday through Tuesday, and I stuck around until Saturday. It was a great trip full of good weather (sunshine, rain, thunderstorms, and even a tornado warning!), relaxation, and quality time spent with family and family friends. Now that Reece is walking he is everywhere! It was nice that Grandpa and Grandma's house is big and that their yard is even bigger!
Ready for takeoff! Reece did great on the plane. He slept for about 45 minutes, looked at books, flashcards, and watched Baby Einstein. Thank you to Kayla for all of the great advice!
The yard was definitely Reece's favorite place to be. He played in the rocks, explored the flowers and decorations, and checked out the neighbor's dog. We all took turns helping him navigate the pathway, the driveway, and climb up and down the balcony stairs. If you look really hard, you can see Reece pointing at the bird bath above (one of his other favorite places to play!).
The weather was so nice Reece even ate lunch outside (which made him VERY happy)!
Great Grandma Betty, Aunt Jeannine, Uncle Roger, Aunt Barbara, Tonya, and Tyler all made a trip over to hang out and eat delicious barbecue, homemade ceviche, and of course, Baskin Robbins ice cream, brownies, and hot fudge! (Thank you, Aunt Jeannine!)
We spent Sunday in Osage City at Austin's high school graduation ceremony and celebration. Congratulations, Austin!
I love this picture of Great Grandma Betty and Aaron.
Jadelyn and Skyler both came to hang out... Jade even stayed the night! Reece loved playing with his cousins.Grandma Connie treated us to a trip to Gage Park. We played on the playground, rode the train, ate lunch, and then rode the carousel (which made me dizzy just watching... glad I was the designated picture taker). We had a great time!
Connie, Jadelyn, Reece, and I took a trip to a local park. We ate lunch and then followed Reece around the playground. He quickly decided that walking around the perimeter of the playground was more fun than the play equipment!
Aunt Trish, Uncle Matt, Steph, Shelby, and Skyler brought over bubbles for Reece to play with. He had a blast (due to Shelby's excellent bubble-bowing skills)!
Watching the morning news and Thomas the Train with Grandpa.
Grandpa taught Reece how to shave.
Aaron and Skyler showed Reece how to shoot a basket.
Reece brought Connie and me this "love gift" of tissue. He was very proud of himself!
