How in the world are you already 15 months?! I honestly cannot believe that you are so big! When I sit back and watch you I am amazed. You climb, run, jump (at least you think you do when you're on your tiptoes), talk, giggle, interact with kids, adults, and strangers, tickle, kiss, hug, push Reece's buttons, throw a decent fit when you aren't getting your way, feed yourself with both a fork and spoon, and girl, you can dance! We love every bit of you ElleBelle. You are a joy to be around!
We visited Dr. Petrovich on the same day Elle turned 15 months. Drum roll please... here are her stats!
Weight: 21.1 pounds (48%)
Height: 30.5 (48%)
Head Circumference: 46 centimeters (59%)
We were so worried when you woke with a 104 degree fever in the middle of a Sunday night. Your poor little body was radiating heat. Your fever went down with medicine, but would rise when the medicine wore off. You continued through this cycle until Wednesday when I took you to see Dr. Petrovich. Your ears and throat were clear, so we headed home to ride it out (thinking it must be a virus). You hadn't improved as of Saturday, and so Dr. Petrovich advised us to bring you to the ER. Your ears and throat were still clear, so the doctor checked your urine via catheter (not a pleasant experience for either of us). Turns out you had a urinary tract infection the whole time. Poor, sweet girl. I couldn't get to the pharmacy fast enough to help you heal. It took another two days for your fever to completely subside. You made this experience easier because you were SO HAPPY the entire time. When the medicine reduced your fever you ran around and played with a smile. When the medicine wore off you cuddled and slept. You handled everything so well, Elle. I am so glad to have this experience behind us!
Sleeping off a fever in the evening.
You understand simple commands and are willing and excited to do them - take your diaper to the trash, put your clothes in the hamper, give this to Dad, etc. When you finish your task you turn with a proud smile just waiting for our applause. We love cheering for you!
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY! Eating donuts holes and celebrating with smiles!
You love your baby doll and even offer her your pacifier, and you were thrilled about the arrival of baby Keegan! Your favorite thing to do is tickle-tickle her toes.
I tried to take a picture for your first birthday thank you cards, but we were so close to the park swings that you just couldn't wait! You looked adorable all dressed up and crying dramatically.
You are still a messy eater, and you prefer to eat while standing in your highchair.
You are very vocal when you are finished with something. When you are done eating, swinging, napping, or anything you can't get yourself out of, you will raise your arms and sign all done while yelling, "Ah-duh, ah-duh!" When you want something you will point to want and then to yourself and ask, "Digga-digga-ah?" You are so so expressive and passionate when communicating! (We aren't sure exactly what you are saying, but you definitely make your point!)
You love to walk around the house with food in your hand. I just love seeing your personality develop. You are saying, "Cheeeeese!" in the first picture, and "Seriously, Mom... that's enough!" in the second.
You are great at taking naps in the car! This came in handy while you were transitioning to one nap. You would cat-nap in the car or stroller in the morning, and then take a 2-hour+ nap in the afternoon.
You LOVE the zoo! The fish and the monkeys are your favorite.
Teeth galore!
You now have your two upper eye teeth, and your lower ones are ready to break through any day now. Your two-year old molars are the only teeth you have left to come in!

You are very adventurous at the park. You will climb stairs and slide down tall slides on your own.
Here you are at Dr. P's smiling with a fever. You are amazing!
We LOVE you, ElleBelle!
