October 2012

October was a busy month full of fun for our family.  Aaron and I kicked off the month with a long-awaited, week-long trip to Napa and Cayucos for our 10 (at 11) year anniversary.  The kids stayed behind in Visalia and had some fun of their own!  We also visited the Coronado Fire Department Open House, and the 1st Annual Coronado Pet Parade. Reece was in heaven climbing around the fire trucks (of course) and Elle LOVED all of the pets! Elle learned to climb... and we learned to let her.  Aaron and Reece went on a 'boys-only' camping trip to Palomar Mountain.  Reece got filthy dirty (yay!) playing with his construction trucks around the campfire, and loved hiking and fishing.  He even came home with a brand-new fishing pole!  Halloween was a blast... and so were the dress-up days leading up to it.  The days we spent at home were full of reading, painting, watching Curious George, tantrums (being two is tough work!), riding bikes, playing at the park, dancing, and singing.  Yes, Reece has really started to sing, and even though he hasn't ever been a fan he was paying attention because he knows all of the lyrics!

We drove the 1 from San Francisco to Cayucos.  It was beautiful!

Reece helped Papa change the oil in Papa's motorcycle.
Reece, Grace, and Greyson had their faces painted at the Pet Parade.

Elle ran everywhere.  She was so excited!
We watched two helicopters land, and Reece got to sit inside both of them.

Elle now takes the stairs too!
She also loves to run around the house with a towel on her head.  All of these new adventures have led to many new bumps and bruises.  Good thing she is tough!
Reece is in the middle of saying he is a construction worker.  This is serious business!
I just love these pictures!
Dress up days and library story-time with Dane.

Park and zoo fun!
Reece arrived home from camping dirty and happy!

Happy Halloween!
