October was full of fun! We took an amazing trip to Kansas, and have the pictures to prove it! The sun was still warm here in Coronado, so we enjoyed the beach a few last times. We also enjoyed dressing up for Halloween with our good friends, the Hents. There was even more fun in between too!
Kansas
Up, up, and away! Elle grabbed my hand as we ascended.
Barbecue on the patio... it was warm, but breezy. It was so nice to visit with family and listen to the wind in the trees while we ate.
Feeding the birds with Grandpa has become a yearly tradition!
Bath and pj time with Tinley
Buddies
Chuck!
We spent a day at KSU with Trish, Steph, and Shelby.
Call Hall Dairy Bar... yum! All the ice cream is made on site here. It was delicious!
Oh, Reece!
We tried to get Elle to look and smile, but she was too busy looking for monkeys!
Aaron and I joined Matt, Trish, and Skyler and headed back to KSU for a game. We had a lot of fun tailgating and standing in the student section with the girls and Skyler.
Fox NFL Sunday was at the game. We took this picture for Reece, who loves robots!
The kids stayed in Topeka with Grandpa and Grandma, who treated them with a trip to Gage Park.
Once home, Reece and Elle helped Grandma bake cookies, and Grandpa took them on a night walk.
I don't think they missed us too much!
We went on several explorations in the dark, spooky forest. I now know exactly what Poison Ivy looks like. Thank you, Grandpa for being quite the adventurer and enduring countless trips through the Poison Ivy, branches, and dirt!
The kids carved pumpkins with Aaron once we arrived home. I watched sick from the couch.
Reece wasn't a fan of the smell of the pumpkin. Aaron convinced him to hang in there!
The Beach!
Reece LOVED searching for crabs.
Coronado Fire Department Open House
Point Loma Harvest Festival
Playtime at Home
Reece loves his new pilot dress-up costume!
Elle loves to read to her kitty-kitty. She loves magazines, too!
Playdate at Caleb Zauss's. The kids were thrilled to play in the dirt with a hose. Good thing I had backup clothes!
Sweet girl having fun at her doctor visit.
Halloween!
We met up with Evan, Kayla, Grace, and Keegan to brave trick-or-treating along Orange Avenue. The kids had a blast together... the adults did, too!
A Colossal Squid (NOT an octopus), Dorothy, and a pirate!
Dorothy did NOT want to eat her dinner. I made the mistake of allowing her to eat a piece of candy before, and as you can see, it wasn't the best choice!
We almost got Keegan to smile!
Thank you, Kayla for the great family photo!
We stopped by Graham Memorial's Harvest Festival to play a few games.
After saying goodbye to the Hents, our last stop was the Bucklew's. Only Uncle Bo was home... he spoiled Reece and Elle with apple juice and Cat Cookies! The kids had fun handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters.
Once we got home we stopped out front to chat with Earl and Gail, so Reece and Elle dumped their candy to take inventory.
Happy October!
